- Krapperups Slott (Krapperup's Castle):
The original castle was built in the years between 1314 and 1353 by "Herr Johannes Jonaesson" (in Danish: Jens Jensen), who previously had his "herreg?rd" (manor) in nearby Brunnby. A rectangular stone building, containing the castle lord's residence and banquet hall constitute the main building. Around this stone house were erected agricultural buildings of various kinds, such as the kitchen and storehouse. Around the mid-1300s work began to consolidate the castle with a defensive ring wall, gate tower, moat and drawbridge. New farm buildings of stone, brick and half-timber were built inside the ring wall.
In the early 1300s livestock became its main industry. Towards the end of the 1300s grain cultivation became a more important part of the manor's economic activity.
The current manor, which was built in1570. is one of Sweden's oldest estates; its exterior is inlaid with giant white stars representing the coat of arms of the Gyllenstierna family, who lived there from the early 1800s onward.
