- According to "Dansk Adels?rbog" (1908, page 356 ff.), "Henning van Podebuzke" can be found mentioned as a "V?bner" (arms carrier) in 1310, as a Knight (Ridder) in 1314, and by 1331 was the Overseer (Ladefoged) for "Rygen" (R?gen island). In 1348 he was known as "Senior Miles de Pudbutzke" to separate him from his cousin's son, the Drost Henning von Podebusk. Henning died between July 9, 1351 and 1353.
According to "Nachkommen Gorms des Alten", by S.O. Brenner, 1978, he was married to Euphemia, daughter of Jacob of Halland, with whom he had seven children. Euphemia is said to have still been alive in 1357. Another source say he was married to Birgitte Laurensdatter (Panter), and that in 1334 he and his brother Tetze received the castle and all the surrounding land (strey) from his father-in-law Laurens Jonsen Panter, who in turn had received them from his wife Cecilie, the widow of Count Johannes of G?tzkow.

Putbus or Podebusk: Coat of arms: Transverse partitioned, 1st field in gold a half crowned black (sometimes red) eagle fixed upon the partition, 2nd field a checkerboard of black (or blue) and gold. On the helmet a crowned half eagle, same a that on coat of arms. * One branch of this family an old princely-house on R?gen island.
